The countries of the Global South are severely affected by the pandemic. Families no longer have the money to pay school fees. And the KOLPING vocational training centers are lacking funds to pay salaries and to buy machinery and tools.
“Here in Uganda, the situation is dramatic. Many things we have worked for so hard are now at risk due to the coronavirus pandemic. We must do all we can to ensure that the next generation will not end up in poverty” – says Fred Wakisa, managing director of KOLPING Uganda.
