Milk cow breeding in Uganda

More than just milk – sustainable milk cow breeding in Uganda

The film presents the milk cow project of the Kolping Society Uganda and shows how helpful and sustainable the milk cow breeding is for the Kolping Families.

A cow does not only cover the need for milk of a whole family, part of the production can also be sold and thereby helps to generate additional income. But the cow not only gives milk. The manure is a valuable “raw material” which is very important for the production of fertilizers. In Kolping seminars about “organic farming” the farmers get instructions about the mix ratio of vegetable waste and cow manure in compost necessary to produce high quality fertilizers.
