Great joy among Kolping members in 14 Kolping Families: They received tanks from donations, including those from the diocesan association of Würzburg. Many families will benefit for a long time from precious water: The cisterns have a capacity of 10,000 litres each.
They are installed right next to the sloping pipe from the gutter of the house and people no longer have to walk all the way to and from water holes. The recipients of those water storage tanks are expected to construct themselves a concrete base for the plastic tank. In addition, they must build a roof to protect the tank material from sunlight. Since Kolping Kenya is also distributing plant bags to grow vegetables, the cisterns will be a great help for families to get a richer harvest.
