“In 2001, I got the chance to visit our friends and partners of the Kolping Society of Uganda, as part of a delegation from the Diocesan Kolping Association in Münster, to join the first East African Kolping day in Hoima. The Kolping members of the African Kolping Families presented the wide varity of their activities. Still today, I am deeply impressed by their commitment for KOLPING, their social work for the members and people around them, and also by their activities as help for self-help measures. KOLPING INTERNATIONAL offers the frame for networking and exchange of Kolping Societies worldwide. We learn from one another, we get inspired for our work and we find friends. The partnerships of our diocesan association with Uganda and Romania have benefitted a lot from this and have also enriched our work on site.”
