“The progressing climate change will also be ever challenging KOLPING INTERNATIONAL in the future. The desertification of entire regions and increasing inundations are depriving many people around the globe of their livelihoods. The consequences are poverty, famine, war for resources, and finally flight. Particularly affected are regions of the world that are already unstable anyway. As an actor of international cooperation, ways have to be found to alleviate the distress in the affected parts of the world and to stimulate a social rethinking of our own consumption.”
Maria Veltum, Head of Kolping Youth of the Diocesan Association in Fulda, Germany
