“When I set off for an educational journey to Honduras and Mexico in 2017, it was clear to me that this will be an exciting trip with many new impressions and that I will learn a great deal about coffee farming, fair trade and fairer prices.

What I had not expected, though, was to realize how important it is for local workers to receive education and training, how vital it is for adults to gain more confidence and self-esteem and to know that they are appreciated. A decisive factor when it comes to selling coffee beans at a good price.

However, much still remains to be done in many countries to give children a promising and self-determined future. It is so great to see that KOLPING INTERNATIONAL is aware of this big responsibility and that it is prepared to accept new challenges all the time.”
