At the beginning of February, General Praeses Msgr Christoph Huber and General Secretary Dr Markus Demele visited former General Praeses Prelate Heinrich Festing in his home in Sabbenhausen. They wanted to catch up on celebrations in a small circle, which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the Corona pandemic. Not only his 91st birthday, but also the 60th anniversary of his priesthood fell during the time of contact restrictions.
Lively memories of the more than 300 journeys as General Praeses, but also the commitment to his home region were important to Prelate Festing, in addition to current church topics. It was particularly nice that with Günter and Sabine Reker also representatives of the local Kolping Family were present.
The exchange between the leaders of different decades of KOLPING INTERNATIONAL is always an enrichment for our intergenerational Association.
