KOLPING’s Tatico coffee is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Since 1995, the Paderborn Kolping Society and the coffee roaster Langen in Medebach have been committed to improving the living conditions of coffee farmers in Central America with fair trade coffee.
On February 15, the anniversary year was launched with a special event in Medebach. 80 guests came to celebrate their voluntary work to market this coffee, making this project such a great success. “Coffee is a pioneer fair trade product“, said Klaus Langen, managing director of the coffee roaster. “Unlike 25 years ago, many consumers have developed a strong awareness for supply chains and the living conditions of producers – and they are prepared to pay adequate prices.” Tatico cooperates with Kolping farmers from Honduras. Rufino Rodriguez, managing director of KOLPING Honduras was also present at the ceremony.
