Bolivia: Emergency aid for flood victims

Submerged land: At the end of March, continuous rain in Bolivia caused the Acre River to rise to 12 metres, causing major damage in the Cobija area.

Especially in the surrounding area, many families are homeless because their houses have been completely flooded. Thanks to the emergency aid by KOLPING INTERNATIONAL 100 Kolping members received mattresses, bed linen and towels. The distribution took place in two places: At the Kolping House in Cobija and in the village El Porvenir, 50 minutes from Cobija.

Kolping Bolivia continues to have a special focus on 100 mothers, and 350 children and young people who are affected by the floods: They will continue to receive help so that they have a dry home again as soon as possible.
