Chile: Kolping teaches 20 Mapuche women help for self-help

Celebrating mass at an open fire: Padre Carlos, national praeses of Chile is celebrating Holy Mass with Kolping members in Nuble, a place some twenty kilometres away from Villarrica. In Nuble, a project for twenty Mapuche women has been launched to benefit eighty people. This project will teach skills in horticulture, small animal husbandry, poultry keeping, beekeeping, wool making (weaving looms) and woodwork. Based on government funds and supported by Kolping Chile, it is run under the technical guidance of the Pater Adolph Kolping Development Foundation.

This project is geared towards the spiritual, pastoral and social development of beneficiaries.
