The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Honduras, Jens Janik, visited KOLPING Honduras last week. In conversation with National Secretary Rufino Rodríguez and other staff members, Janik learned about the work of the Association and the international cooperation.
They visited the Finca San Julián together, a model coffee production project, where the ambassador gained insight into the processes of the forthcoming coffee harvest. The project is financed with funds from the Kolping Society of Paderborn. In addition, the itinerary included visits to two projects for the cultivation of bananas and beans as well as a chicken farm.
“It is my first visit of this kind as ambassador in Honduras and I am impressed”, Janik concluded. “I appreciate the great work of the Kolping Society and their staff members. The projects speak for themselves. It will certainly not be my last visit,” said the German ambassador.
