International Board elects new General Board, Managing Director and Financial Committee
On September 25 and 28, 2017 apart from the International Convention of KOLPING INTERNATIONAL also the International Board of Directors of the worldwide Catholic social association hold its meeting. Within this framework the 47 delegates of the International Board of Directors who together represent all National Associations, elected new members of different governing bodies on international level.
New members to the General Board elected
The International Board of Directors elected five new members to the General Board of KOLPING INTERNATIONAL by large majority: Thomas Dörflinger (President Kolping Society Germany), Erich Reischmann (Kolping Society Switzerland), Paul Nguyen Huu Nghia Hiep (Kolping Vietnam), Dancille Mujawamariya (Kolping Rwuanda) and Rufino Rodríguez (Kolping Honduras). The General Board (formerly International Executive Board) is the governing body of the association. The other members of this body are automatically the General Praeses Msgr. Ottmar Dillenburg and the General Secretary Dr. Markus Demele. The term of office is four years.
New voluntary Managing Director
Moreover, Karin Wollgarten (Head of Finance & Administration of the SEK e.V.) has been elected new voluntary Managing Director of KOLPING INTERNATIONAL by large majority. Her term of office is six years. As Managing Director Karin Wollgarten is automatically also a member of the General Board.
New Financial Committee
As new members to the Financial Committee of KOLPING INTERNATONAL the following persons have been elected, also by large majority: Ted Wilke (Kolping USA) as well as Markus Lange, Manuel Hörmeyer, Thorsten Schulz and Barbara Breher (all from the Kolping Society Germany). The term of office of the Finance Committee is six years.
