The European Kolping community has reacted to the terrible war in Ukraine with an overwhelming willingness to help and donate. In Ukraine itself, KOLPING immediately converted its facilities into emergency shelters after the outbreak of the war.
“So far we have taken care of about 900 refugees”, Vasyl Savka, managing director of KOLPING Ukraine, reported at the end of April. In Chernivtsi, volunteers cook up to 450 warm meals a day for the population in the KOLPING soup kitchen. According to Vasyl Savka, around 26,000 meals were prepared and over 70 tonnes of emergency aid distributed by the end of April: “I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your great help.” This is what your donations do: To the aid diary: https://www.kolping.net/en/donate/ukraine-situation-on-site/
