In Myanmar, some 200 Kolping members assembled in five regions of the country to celebrate the World Day of Prayer. In all regions, the day started with Archbishop Mathias U Shwe celebrating mass in the Shan region. The members used this World Day of Prayer to strengthen their Kolping membership and to meet for an exchange of ideas after mass. Between 20 and 95 members from various Kolping Families came to report on their activities, to thank for the harvest, to play music and to dance. KOLPING Myanmar used this day not only for prayer but also for networking and an exchange of opinions – the large variety of activities is evidence of the strong commitment Kolping members have in this Asian country.
