In March 2012 the 45th National Kolping Society was founded in Gitega. The Kolping Society of Burundi currently has 15 Kolping Families with about 400 members. “Kolping can give the country a new face”, said the Archbishop during the founding ceremony.

Pilgrimage to Rome in 2011 |

| On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Adolph Kolping’s beatification, the International Kolping Society organized a pilgrimage to Rome from October 25-29, 2011. More than 7,000 pilgrims came to Rome. |

Several coffee farmers in the Diocese of Bukoba have started a producers’ association to produce a better-quality coffee. In a first phase, the participating farmers learned how organic fertilizers can increase the harvest and organic coffee can be produced.
