The Kolping Youth Europe met for its general meeting In Luborzyca near Cracow. More than 30 young people from 15 European countries went all the way to Poland to meet there on the first weekend in December. They discussed various projects and activities the Kolping Youth is doing in the countries but also talked about the future of Europe and what they can do to cooperate even closer and more intensively in the future.
In a workshop run under the Erasmus+ programme, they also analyzed global efforts to create more just structures in civil society worldwide. Once again it was exciting to collect many different European perspectives. Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.
The newly elected board of the Kolping Youth Europe that will prepare the programme and organize the next meetings is truly international: Edona from Albania, Grlica from Serbia, Dominik from Slovakia, Heinz from Switzerland, Jerzy from Poland, Luis from Portugal and Sven from Germany transfer their dedicated work for Kolping to the European level in future.
Needless to say, 25 years of Kolping Youth were reason enough to party – in Kolping orange!
