It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dear and greatly respected Kolping sister and colleague Ana Yudy García. She passed away on 10 December in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic after a short illness.
Ana Yudy García was the executive director of Kolping Dominicana for many years. With great commitment and personal dedication Yudy succeeded in spreading the ideas of Blessed Adolph Kolping in her home country. She was also closely connected with many other leaders in Kolping throughout Latin America. Her kindness, her tremendous eagerness to help and her cheerfulness will be greatly missed. She shaped Kolping Dominicana and together with the national executive board she developed projects and initiatives for Kolping Families in the country. She particularly cared for and supported those living on the margins of society and the poor – especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her faith in Jesus Christ gave her stability in life, even in the time of her illness. We were and are united in the hope that one day we will be together again in the Eternity of God.
We extend our deepest sympathy to her family, all relatives and the team of Kolping Dominicana.
On behalf of the International Executive Board and the staff of KOLPING INTERNATIONAL
