Working for a clean environment: Around 20 members of different Kolping families recently met in Danlí for a training session of Kolping Honduras.
They learned about the responsible use of water, recycling, waste prevention, organic farming and composting. The new blue recycling garbage cans on the Kolping site create facts and are an unmistakable indication of environmentally conscious behavior. Kolping Honduras will hold similar workshops in various regions this year.
Rufino Rodríguez, board member of Kolping Honduras, reports: “Here at Kolping we have launched a waste management project. To be precise, we are promoting the separation of waste. We as the Kolping community are trying to make our contribution for the environment. This is what we want to show to you. Of course, there is much more we need to do. We invite the population and show them how they can make their lives more environmentally friendly. We teach them how to protect and maintain God’s creation.”
