Activities spanning over several generations and topics in Germany

Germany is the country where the idea of KOLPING INTERNATIONAL was born. Already in the 19th century the Catholic Priest Adolph Kolping stood up against injustices experienced by young journeymen in the age of industrialization.

In line with the Kolping philosophy the association wants to raise awareness for responsible living and acting in solidarity. The Kolping Society defines itself as accompanying community of faith, education and action. The focus is on work with and for young people, our commitment in the working world, interaction with and engagement for families and for the global world. The commitment for social justice is now spread over more than 60 countries.

Courage is beneficial!

The German Kolping Society is a real community of action: with numerous activities the association motivates its members and the civil society to join in and to commit themselves for disadvantaged and marginalized people. Recent examples are Kolping Upgrade, the network for refugees, collection campaigns for mobile phones and shoes for the good cause, the topic digitization of our society, Kolping football championship and image campaigns.

The Kolping Day 2015 in Cologne was a big highlight of the past years for thousands of members.
