KOLPING INTERNATIONAL and Kolping Germany mourn Prelate Heinrich Festing who passed away on 20 April at the age of 91.
Heinrich Festing had a fundamental impact on the work of Kolping in Germany and all over the world from 1965 to 2002. He was the driving force behind the worldwide expansion of the association as we know it today. With its more than 400,000 members in more than 60 countries around the world, KOLPING INTERNATIONAL would not be what it is without the commitment of General Praeses Heinrich Festing.
A solemn memorial mass will be held in memory of the late former General Praeses on 17 May at 9 a.m. German time in the Minoritenkirche in Cologne. You are all cordially invited to be with us in your thoughts at the same time.
We will sorely miss Prelate Heinrich Festing and gratefully remember him at the tomb of Adolph Kolping. In the Kolping Association we will gratefully keep him in good memory.
